    Lens CLA service (USA)

I have a pre-World War II 210mm Schneider lens that has some "stuff" between the elements and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good service company in the USA that can disassemble and clean it up.

    TIA.

I have never used this service, but I've talked to John in the past and he seems like a real straight-shooter:

Is this something that a normal CLA would address or is it more involved (fungus, separation, etc)?

For CLAs, 2 good sources are Flutot's in CA and Paul Ebel in WI.

Thanks for the info and link. The reason I used "stuff" is because I'm uncertain as to what it is. There doesn't seem to be hyphae, so I am hoping it's not fungal contamination but only dust.

Schneider-itis? Unless it is affecting your negs, don't worry about it.

Schneideritis is white spots along the edge of the lens. They're not pretty but the only thing they affect is resale value.
    Heavily sedated for your protection.
