Industar 37

Industar 37, 300mm f/4.5.

Does anyone know what the filter thread is for this lens ? I have a couple 77mm filters that -almost- fit, so I reckon somewhere in the region of 75/76mm or so. I can't seem to find any information online anywhere (except for one source which has 80mm which I suspect is a confusion with the rear mount threads which are 80mm AFAIK)

Those threads aren't meant for filters. They're used by the front element retaining ring. See the notches on the side of the ring?

Ah yes, you're quite right. Didn't even consider that. Time to jimmy up some sort of friction fit think for my cokin P holder so ...
