Toyo 45CF & Xenotar 150 for Portrait? Need advice.

I am searching for a lightweigt 4x5 fild camera to use for portrait and Fashion work only. The lenses i will use is a Xenotar 150 with a copal 3 shutter (if i dont seel this baby) and maybe a Goerz Dagor 12"
I have a Speed Graphic with a Aero Ektar but becauce i shoot 90% Portrait Mode i like a camera that is more adapted to that.

I was thinking the Toyo field 45CF would be a good solution especially for the price.

As i read the Back is revolved. One more question is if its posible to adapt my cambo finder to the Toyo. Its now adapted to my Speed Graphic as the photo shows.

I don't recall if the 45CF back revolves or if it is reversible. It is a VERY lightweight camera, with all the issues that come along with that. I remember looking at it when I was looking for a 4x5 field camera and getting a chance to try it out in the store. I felt it was plasticky and cheap, and that it felt like it would break easily. I don't know that a 12" Dagor would be a good choice for a portrait lens to begin with, and I don't think it would work well on the 45 CF, as the CF is essentially a double-extension camera and would not be able to focus a 12" lens to portrait distances.

Toyo finders are hinged on the left and attach with two pins that fit into holes in the left side of the Toyo back - the bottom pin is fixed and the top pin is spring loaded. Making anything fit is possible, I don't know what a Cambo back attachment system is - maybe someone else here will give you more information.

Why not look for a Super Graphic? The back rotates on it and the Cambo reflex viewer will fit.

You still will not be able to use the 12" lens though.

Are you hand holding the camera or using it on a tripod?

If you are using it on a tripod just keep your Speed and mount it on its side so that it is in portrait mode.

P.S. If your Aero Ektar is like mine, lightweight is not an adjective that I would use to describe the camera setup.

Ohh the Super Speed Graphic have a Back that rotares??? Great havent know it.
Mount on its side for portrait mode, especially with heavy lenses create me always problems. But the tip about the super speed is great. Linhof was to a alternative but way to expensive as i know.
