    Tominon 4,5 / 75 mm

Can anybody tell me for which format this lens was made?

I believe it was for polaroid, but I dont think it was for the 4X5 size polaroids, more for the polaroid copy cameras

I also think it a flat field macro lens, for close up photography

Yes, a flat field lens that was made for the Polaroid copy camera. This lens will cover (just) 5x4, and works well for very close in work. The Polaroid MP4 came with the Tominon 75mm and 135mm, both are tack sharp.

I doubt the 74mm will cover 4X5. I have the 135 that I use on a Century Graphic. The 135 will cover 4X5. The lens has an unfounded reputation as not a great lens. IDK if I just got a good example, but stopped down a little, it's tack sharp.

That lens came on the MP-4 copy camera, and will (just)cover 4x5 with no movement.

The 75mm does cover 5x4, but only for really close in work, probably not at infinity....which is not what it was designed for.
