Got a 14 in Dagor...Looking for a bit more info

I purchased a 14 in f8 Dagor. I'm looking for a bit more info on it.

Front says "Schneider Corp. of America"
(Gold dot) Dagor 14 in F:8

    Rear: serial number 2001752
    Lens made in Switzerland

    Copal no. 3

Is this one of the Kern lenses?

    Thanks!
    John

Ok I have done a bunch of google research trying to find out what is a Kern lens. Can you just tell me?
I did buy one of the Schneider 14 inch god dot dagor reissues of about 1990. Is that the lens you got?

I figured mine was likely a kern, but I had not seen the full range of serial numbers.

I have a 14in Schneider Gold Dot MC Kern Dagor, which is last of the line. It has a serial number of 14.14 million, if I recall correctly. If memory serves correctly if you have a 2 million something serial number, you have one of the single coated versions. The last version was the only one which is Multicoated and the only one labeled as such.

Great lens, mine quickly become my favorite 8x10 lens......Enjoy.

That's my understanding, too. And I also have the MC version, and like Gary, its one of my favorites!
