Trioplan 42cm f3.8 Variable Soft Focus Lens
...It is not a portrait Trioplan, it is not a normal Trioplan, it is not Universal Heliar but it looks like it s giant brother.. What is this lens?
Boxed in a beautiful black box just like an old hat.

The Portrait Trioplan and apparently the "regular" Trioplan were sold with an option to add the Soft Focus Feature (element rotation) in the mid-1930's. Fairly uncommon item and was fairly expensive for what was typically an inexpensive lens.
