Copal 3 issues

Well, I got my Nikkor-M 450/9 from Igor in Cleveland.
The plan was to put the cells into my Copal 3 which
now holds my Fujinon-W 300/5.6.
Little did I know that there are 2 Copal 3 shutters besides the 3s.
Three in all.
So my question is ... is the thread adapter interchangeable between
the old and the new shutters?
Or should I just go get a newer shutter?

Even if you successfully mounted the cells in a new shutter, how would you know that the cell spacing is correct?

And you realize that the aperture scale will definitely NOT be correct, right???

What's wrong with the existing shutter?

The old copal 3 is like the 3s so the cells will not mount
When it comes to alignment I will be checking against tje standard to make the fit.
But that comes later.
