Calument Roll Film Holder Question
I ended up with a 6x7 C1 Calumet roll film holder for my field camera, were there as many (if any) 6x9's made? Or even a change kit?

Yes. I have a 6x9 as well as the 6x7.

PM me if you are interested in a Graflok 6x9 back. I've got one that hasn't seen a roll in many moons.

Graflok is the newer one, right? I've got a Linholf III V5
I seem go go back and forth between thinking I've got a grip on the whole nomenclature and knowing I'm totally confused.
I do have a 6x9 roll back on a 21/4 31/4 (23?) speed graphic but it's specific for that size (I think).

Hello Grif;
Most 4 X 5 camera's come with two styles of backs, Spring back (graphic) or the Graflok. The Graflok back has two chrome levers when depressed the ground glass will slide off easily. The spring back is mounted with two screws and is a hassle to remove and the film back will not hold in place unless you rig something up. I would be happy with the Calumet 6 X 7 holder since this will fit either back style and is considered the ideal format. The other plus is the two extra shots you get on a roll of 120. Steven.

There was even a 6 x 12 made.
None of the Calumet's are as sharp as Sinar's version however.
This was from my own comparative testing of a Calumet 6 x 7
vs. a Sinar Vario Roll film back, ( version 1 ).
I discovered that the Sinar had an additional Roller along the
film's path, than the Calumet did.
BUT, Both of my versions BROKE !
The Sinar could NOT be repaired due to a shortage of parts &
the unwillingness of the repair person, to take a chance on
Version 2 parts.
The Calumet could be repaired & modified so it wouldn't
break again, ( basically substituting screws for rivets ),
but the housing got misplaced from the internals & thus
was never reassembled.
My Loss !
