Based on what I've seen sell, and what I've got myself, I'd value that kit at $700, or perhaps $800 at the max if there are lots of accessories included (bag bellows, film holders, loupe, dark cloth, case, etc.). However, that is L.A., CA, U.S.A. Things may be different in the U.K. It is all extremely nice equipment, but none of it has much monetary value any more.

In the UK the lenses alone could be sold for around £450, the camera over £150 possibly £200-300, then add in the roll film back £80-£100, the bag bellows over a £100, the magnifying viewer £120, then there was the case and another Sinar item not clearly shown in the listing.

If the kit was split up the seller could easily get £1000 for the items, so when you look at it that way £640 is a reasonable discount for a complete set up provided it was in reasonably good condition.

Now one APUG member in the UK sells Sinar F1's for over £400. similar lenses for over £250 each for the 135mm &150mm, around £400 the 210mm, £140 for the bag bellows, 3150 for the roll film back and over £200 for the viewer, without a case that's over £1790 !!!!!!!!

    Hi Ian,

Sorry for the late reply, I am now indeed a proud owner of a 4x5 camera ))

I've been spending the weekend dusting everything, hopefully I can have a day out with it once the grey Manchester sky has mercy on me.

    Gu
