    MeteredLight state:

Angle of View: approximately 1 degree,
smaller at very high EVs and 3 degrees at lower EVs

I admit this a rather an academic question but still: How come??

If you look at the May 5 08 pictures 2/3 of the way down you can see the readout in ev and the dial to convert to fstop and shutterspeed.
    How come?
    because of size.
    Best wishes

    I overlooked this statement:

The Pocket Spot Light Meter sub-ranges between 5 and 6 EV. This means that at less than about 6 EV, the meter changes from 1 degree to 3 degree reading. (To judge 3 degrees is the same as 1 degree, but use the thickness of the case. Remember that the actual spot is mostly square, not round as the site implies.)
    Still don't understand...

The light sensor has two physical regions, one smaller than the other. For "high" light levels it uses the smaller portion of the sensing area, so has a narrower angle of view. At lower light levels it uses the entire sensor to make it more sensitive, so the angle of view gets wider.

Seemingly I was still stuck with those classic Phototransistor-cells.
And still not accustomed to read technical characteristics in blog-form.
    Both my fault...

I just checked their blogspot and found the last entry to be quite elderly. Does anyone know if they are still in business and how to buy a pocket spot? I tried a year or so ago and never got an answer to my emails. Thanks for the help.
