    what does the number 120 stand for in regards to 120 film?

    120 is just a size kodak asigned for that size of film.

    120 is just a number. I think they started at 101. Here's some history:

    120 is the length of the film 120 cm. 220 is 220 cm long. 135 (35mm) 36 exp is 135cm long
