Default Photokina wishes.

We are, if I be not mistaken, about to have another bi annual Photokina.

Were you to be given but one choice what would you like to see introduced this year?

Hey, I get to go first.

I would like to see all of these nice new lenses developed by Zeiss for Nikon etc. to be available in Contax C/Y) mount. I understand why it has not happened in the past but this is my wish.

The re-introduction of a Nikon's film SLR aimed at the advanced amateur with a price point of about $500US. I l know I'm dreaming, but since you asked...

Time to go watch Bill Clinton's speech at the DNC.

New Zeiss lenses for Canon EF and FD mounts.

Since we're wishing, 8X10 Kodachrome in 10 sheet boxes.

A 6x9 camera similar to the veriwide, but with a modern (rodenstock) 38mm or (SK) 47mm. It needn't be rangefinder coupled (although i'd love it to be), but it would need to be small like the original, use a single stroke advance, be more ergonomic and cost under 2k. Additionally I'd like to see a modern RF to replace the Mamiya 6. It could be the same as the original with the addition of a wider base line, a 38mm f/4,5 and a 180mm f/4,5 that focused closer then the 150mm.

I'd also like to see RFholder like Sinar's Zoom, but at 1/4 of the price. A reintroduction of the Kinematic (a 10 sheet graphmatic).

A better mood within the industry...

Agfa, Ilford Photo, Ferrania, Filmotec... are not coming

Thus neither me.

It would be wonderful if Fuji were to give us more news about it.

I second that, though I still secretly wish they'd make it 6x6 or 6x9 instead...

You mean you wouldn't complain that it wasn't in a 25-sheet box?
