Sourcing Regular 8 (double run 16?)

Anybody here shoot this stuff and have a reliable, reputable source for film? Oh, B&W reversal, not color.

As I understand, Dwaynes will still process & slit it, no?

Somebody sent me a Canon 8 that still sounds good. What a little jewel! Two lens turret with a 13 & 38 with purple coating that's gemstone-like. Through the lens focusing (gotta transfer to taking lens) parallax correction, single frame capability....how cool is all that?

Gotta get some fodder for it!

Black and White Reversal can be purchased from Freestyle http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_search.php?rfnc=407 and I am going to a fairly local lab, The Cine Lab, to have my film processed. http://www.cinelab.com/ They may allow you to mail film to them. Dwayne's only processes E-6 Reversal. They don't processes Vision Negative or any reversal black and white.

I do reccomend trying some of the color double 8 called Cinechrome 100D that is really Kodak Ekachrome 100D that you can buy and have processed at Dwayne's.

if you don't want to process it yourself ...
there is a company called prepfilm ( prepfilm.com )
he is located in michigan.
he sells film stock and has pre-paid mailers. if you buy your film
from him he will send it out to whoever processes it ( lausanne switzerland ? ).
there is/ was also a person in plattsburgh ny ...
Plattsburgh Photographic Services ...

good luck!

Last batch I got was from John Schwind. I prefer the Cine-X because he can get if in the 100 foot rolls.. For some reason my last few Foma rolls looked defective. Here is John's Web site. http://www.zerelda.com/international...ionalfilm.html

In the past I have also got film from Chambless, but sometimes they don't have it.

I have been using Prep Film in Michigan for the reversal B&W processing and splitting for about 9 years.

I checked the Freestyle site and don't see any.

Bring the camera if you are coming to John Power's, I'd like to see it.

John Schwind and Yale lab in Burbank, CA are where I have gone. Freestyle also carries the Foma, but I have not tried it yet.

Also, if you can find someone who can make the perforations for you, you can use any 16mm film. I'll be Mr. Schwind can do that, though I am not sure.

Tap the keg and strike up the band, the Kodachrome photographers are on the loose for the last 18 month party.

Does anyone have any experience with the Cine-X B&W film on John Schwind's website? It's only $10; a lot cheaper than the $17 I paid Dwayne's for Ektachrome.

CINE-X 100 N8(2x8mm)ASA100 25 ft spool 7265

What do you do with the 100ft spools? Do you break it down into 25 foot spools? If so where do you get the spools?
