Just to be temporarily serious, there is a five degree difference in cutting angle between UNC and Whitworth threads.

At last Friday normal hours closing a dime was exchanged for 4.3654 whits. Whits seemed to recover after-hour on thin volumes, I wouldn't take that as an indication for Monday opening.

No Monday opening here due to the holiday. We will have to use the European market if we need to judge a whit's value.

I don't know either, but I understand that it is the acme of threads.
    A whitty rejoinder!
I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.

Some don't like the Acme thread because it has less strength. I say they're just squares.

It will have to wait until Tuesday here as well as we also have Monday as a public holiday.

Myself and a friend were thinking about making some ACME nameplates to put on some of our band equipment. Much more interesting than Fender and Peavey logos!

Some want it both ways, to buttress their positions...
