    Those little gold stickers

The very first thing I did any time I bought a new camera or lens the first thing I did was strip off that little gold sticker. Sometimes I think I might be the only one who did/does that.

I hope you realize that removing the gold sticker will greatly devalue the camera.

What is with that, anyway? I have some cameras that are over 30 years old that still have the sticker on them. Why do people leave them on?

Ahhh, the infamous oval gold JCII stickers. I'd always peel them off when I used to buy equipment, but now I leave them alone. Funny how annoyances turn to nostalgia sometimes.

Do you mean the "Passed" sticker ?

For years (I was a teenager then) I believed it indicated a better quality

Then I removed all of them, when I grew older (and may be wiser)

Possibly illegal to sell new without them but once you own it, you can do what you like with it.

I always remove them - they look horrible.
