I think you have some worthwhile, constructive criticisms to consider here, but, as with most sites, I went immediately to the portfolios and enjoyed them very much. I like your idea of having a limited number of very strong images. They can be rotated with other ones from time to time rather than plop a vast array of stuff all at once. The other thing I paricularly like is that they're BIG! when you click on the thumbnails. Too many sites seem to fear their images will be filched and they therefore make poor quality, small images which no doubt discourages anyone's using them, but also makes them just plain hard to view. Good for you, Donald. Best of luck with it!

Easy to negotiate. The prints look OK with that brown/maroon background but the narrative isn't so easy to read in the same combination of colours. I think that what you have to say about materials etc shows somebody with attention to detail and a need to inform. These are important aspects. There's no "marketing speak" which I suspect would put off the kind of people who are likely to be your target audience. There were no false "notes" or things that jarred with me.

    Best of luck

I agree with Shane. Don't start the paragraph with a negative; start it by highlighting your LF skills and talents.

Great site. I'll look at it more when I get back from the conference.

Very nice site and work. Like the background color, but the font color is just not contrasty enough and the links on the workshop page are un-readable.

I just wanted to add my congratulations. The content is fantastic. Great mood and the work has a voice.

I would only offer one suggestion: Make the inlarged images just a little smaller. They are quite huge even on my screen (I have the very same issues on my web site, so this it the pot calling the kettle black here, but there ya go! ).

I would love to see more of your work Don.

Technology is not a panacea. It alone will not move your art forward. Only through developing your own aesthetic - free from the tools that create it - can you find new dimension to your work.

Very nice Donald. I like the images. I agree with one of the others that some pictures look a bit soft as posted. I know I have seen some of them on the gallery and they always look razor sharp. Excellent site. Good luck.

You probably know this Donald, but nothing much is working in there today. It goes straight to your parent directory and it looks as though you need an index page in your root directory. If I hit "Public_html" it goes to your index page, but I can't get anywhere else from there. Maybe you are working on it as I am trying to view.
