I use the Dexter cutter and actually enjoy the process of matting and framing. It is rewarding to see the photograph reach its presentation. No problems using the Dexter. I order pre-cut frames and pre-cut glass. I have only sliced my finger once on the glass and it is nasty when it happens.

    Regards,
    Bill

Looking at your avatar, are you sure you didn't slice your head?

I am currently sporting a bandage on my knuckle that replaces some skin lost in a tragic glass cleaning accident. A real bleeder. I had to stop cutting mats for the day for fear of making my prints look like crime scenes.
That is called grain. It is supposed to be there.
