How to make image "steal-proof" ?

    Greetings to all --

A client of mine wants to purchase a few large (expensive) images for display in the lobby of a residential apartment building (no doorman.)

In the past, they have had a problem with pictures disappearing, and have asked me for suggestions to reduce the possibility of this happening in the future.

I believe the framed photos will be hung on painted sheetrock.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions --

    Hi Ned,

    Welcome to APUG.

How about this also Light Impressions.

Other sources are Framing Supplies and Art and Framing Solutions.

Some of those systems would need to be modified for secure fixing to sheetrock, I suspect.

What is on the other side of the wall?

    Best,
    Helen

Light Impressions has a system http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.co...50000&IID=2401 that may slow down thieves. There are probably much more secure systems avaialble.

Ah, Helen. Faster and more complete than me.

Why not screw it throught the edge of the frame directly into each stud behind the sheetrock? Then carefully paint or cover the screw heads.

The locking systems available are at least as secure as screws through the frame. I think screws just say,"Bring your screw driver and I am yours."
