That's a very interesting idea, let us know how it works out.

I have not sold anything for ages but that could be because I have not exhibited anything for ages. Back in 2002-4 landscapes were about $350 framed, but I have not shot in that vein for years. Cheaper prints can be a lot of fun, but from a commercial perspective, unless you are doing huge volumes, its not going to get you very far finaicially. I'm shooting reportage and thinking more along the line of books now Still, when life settles down again, I look forward to getting to grips with the 5x7 again. Right now its generally 35mm, so a wee bit smaller!

If I were to sell work again (at a point prior to retirement) I would only do so for at least double what I used to sell prints for.

    8x10 platinum print -- $400 matted 16x20 w/ 8-ply. Same price framed. 8x10 carbons are $1000

Limited editions (5 for carbon, 10 for pt)
At least with LF landscape, a bad day of photography can still be a good day of exercise.

My 10x14 digital (but from film capture!) are worth hundreds, but you can have them matted and in 16x20 aluminum frames for less than $50 at the annual local arts and crafts fair.
