Magnetic Frames
In Way Beyond Monochrome, Ralph Lambrecht's and Chris Woodhouse' new book (a beauty, by the way), some magnetic frames are discussed. They have a magnetic backing, and over frame, with glazing. They come apart and go back together and sound like a nice solution to exhibition, just changing out the print.
Is there a US source for these?
Mark??
A Google search turns up a web site which seems to be more about instant film products.

I'm sure Mr. Lambrecht can answer this, but I did find them once online a while back. There seemed to be only one US distributor if I remember correctly, and they were expensive.
-
Yeah, I'm not surprised by the expense, still I'd like to know a source and price for them.

Sounds interesting but I am afraid I have not run across anything like that before. Quick change frames are more common in the sign industry than the custom framing industry which may be why I have not seen them.
Cheers,

Thanks for the post, Greg. It's a better reference than what I had, but still can't find where to buy them stateside, or even a price.

These are really great (and expensive) frames, but after you've bought one set, you are ready for an exhibition within 30 minutes.

Thanks, Ralph, been waiting for you to catch this thread.
Enjoying your book, by the way. Tastefully done, and I like the way you periodically and consistently define it's scope.

Sorry, I forgot to include this. Here is their US distributor (exclusive, as far as I can tell):
