I'm a senior Programmer/Analyst, currently doing .NET development, but, my speciality is C++/MFC. I work for a private school on the island of Oahu. I've been photographing for about 30 years, but I have just recently got serious about it; primarily because I am so fed up with the corporate culture that exists today.

Gave up last real job as VP of marketing for a growing software development company in So. Cal. to be a full time mom. I don't regret it one bit. With what has been happening with our kids these days, I was glad I was there to be part of the action. From that I started taking more college classes as an out let from child speak. Along the way I started collecting college degrees like others collect antiques. The most rewarding thing I think I accomplished through all of that was my son saying, "Gosh mom college is a snap, I hear all those things you use to tell us when you took classes in my head." I'm lucky that I have a supportive hubby who proudly shows off my photography to any who will stand still long enough to look.
I'm an Estimator for a union sheet metal shop. My job is to figure out how much it will cost to fab & install commercial HVAC systems. I am a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker. I really don't like this job, but it pays the bills more or less. I wish someone would pay me to drive around & look at stuff.

Me too. But I could not be a trucker, don't have the CB lingo ability.

web hosting is one of my hobbies. i used to have an apartment full of computers; i gave out accounts (unix shell, full domain hosting, web based email, etc) to friends and friends-of-friends. now ive collapsed the whole deal to a pair of machines at an ISP colo facility. with about 40 active users, supporting that is less stress than supporting the computers at my dad's house!
