    So daytime and season plays a role. What I do not really like is bright sunlight at high noon, that's worst case for me. Travelling foreign countries you can't avoid it tho. For B&W i like the diffuse light under a bright but covered sky best. Gives a good 3d impression and fine details, rich greys. C41B&W can produce amazing results with this light.

    My favorite light is late afternoon sunlight coming from an angle of 45-90 degrees to my subject. Because of weather conditions, etc., I find myself trying to imitate that in the studio more than using it naturally.
