I usually don't mind winter, but this one is beginning to wear out it's welcome. It's already a record for January snow totals (since 1880) and a week to go!
WYSIWYG - At least that's my goal.

Was 22f this morning, and a couple of inches fresh snow. Perfect day for ice fishing, even with the wind blowing. We just turned our backs to the wind and a couple of hours of fun later, returned home with a sweet brace of fresh trout for the grill. Supper was outstanding this evening.

Down to -2 F again. Funny how the news loves to report on setting records. Most people around here don't realize the record is for the particular _date_ and not the season. We've not set any record lows for the winter yet.

Very true. It's been cold and snowy but neither is likely to be an all-season record. They just exaggerate 'everything!'
