    Any Seattle-Tacoma members around? Want to meet up?

    Hi folks,

    I am running out of film photographer friends here in Tacoma. Time to make a few new friends with common interests. Anyone else from the area want to meet in person for a photo outing and socializing afterwards? I shoot everything from 35mm to 8x10 and my interests are nature, people, still-life and street photog. I have a darkroom and willing to share once in a while with another hobbyist.

    let me know,

    John

    John,

    In Seattle, we have regular Saturday morning gatherings as well as some one-off events. If you want to travel up here, check events out at:

    If I was aware of the meetups group, I'd forgotten. I'm going to have to tag along with one of your events, one of these days.

    I think there were a few APUG members who got together at the Tulley's across from Kenmore Camera a while back...

    "When making a portrait, my approach is quite the same as when I am portraying a rock. I do not wish to impose my personality upon the sitter, but, keeping myself open to receive reactions from his own special ego, record this with nothing added: except of course when I am working professionally, when money enters in,—then for a price, I become a liar..."

    I'll be busy the rest of this month on a project that is for someone else and is not photo related. I will be joining you folks one Saturday in April, though.
