Local source of Sodium Sulfite? (SF Bay area)

I've almost depleted my supply of Sodium Sulfite. I asked at the pool supply place a few miles from my house and got the "whadda ya wanna do?" look....

In the past, I've ordered from Art Craft and the formulary but, shipping costs are really, making it tough to do that now.

Anybody know of a reasonably priced local source?

It won't help with the shipping, but the last time I checked, the Chemistry Store had very good prices on sodium sulfite. If all else fails, paying less for the chemical may make the high shipping easier to stomach....

yeah, the chemistry store has a nice price...18.98 for a 13 pound bucket...but, they're quoting $24.68 to ship it to me via UPS ground....that comes out to 3.36 $/ lbs. Which isn't too bad I guess (sigh).

I have an unopened 500mL bottle of anhydrous sodium sulfite. I ordered it but never used it. I just cleared my 55 shots with water. I could ship it to ya for $10.00. Let me know if you're interested. It's located in Delaware. PM me if you want it.

Brad, I've got a sh*tload at my studio. If you're in SF you are welcome to have some. All kinds of other dry chemicals too.

Sodium Sulphite is one of the Formulary items that Looking Glass in Berkeley usually has on the shelf. Though I'd call first.
