For this allegory to be complete, it should have mentioned that the original restaurant owner bought your dinner at the second restaurant (much like this forum's owner has created a place for those with interests outside of APUG).
I love seafood and I usually go to restaurants that specialize in JUST seafood when I'm in the mood. I go to that same Italian restaurant and I'm not bothered by the fact that it doesn't serve seafood but I go there for the atmosphere and ambiance as much as for the massive helpings of pasta dishes.
Thy heart -- thy heart! -- I wake and sigh,
And sleep to dream till day
Of the truth that gold can never buy
Of the bawbles that it may.
Isn't this a private business? If so, they have a right to run their business as they see fit. You are way out of line to make such a fuss. If you don't like their menu, go somewhere else. Additionally, bringing food into a restaurant is not very smart. If people get sick, the restaurant could be sued for allowing it. Again, you're way off base on this - go where they serve what you want!
Moma don't take my Kodachrome away!
Oops, Kodak, of all people, did!
If this is a response to the earlier deleted thread about scanning (and your rude comments within the subsequent thread querying why the post was deleted) it's a poor show. And not as witty as you think either.
I love APUG and have learned a lot from it, but sometimes the pettiness grates...
You nailed correctly. The OP is way out of line. He should go to another restaurant for Italian seafood and another website for scanning.
This is really bad behavior for a normally respected poster.
