I agree that thread turned bizarre - for a number of reasons. But I certainly agree that anyone who would "prefer" a website image, or even a printed book repro over an original print is playing in a very different league than what APUG is all about.

I'm late to the party - but I'd love a print.

I would love a print... Being able to hold in ones hand the work of another artist is the only way to grow as an artist ones self. The road to greatness in photography is paved with the viewing of other photographers work. Viewing a detached image on a screen is nice, but not really indicative of what a true "artist" can do in the darkroom. Even the smell of the print can influence the viewer.
