Only a factor with long exposure times, not with shutter speeds > 1/8 second. The CF (and newer) lenses indicate this on the shutter speed dial with an orange bar to remind the user to hold the shutter release until the shutter has fired.

You are absolutely right - but when I was first using it on a tripod, I got snagged by that very item! :rolleyes:

Given that the Hasselblad is a very particular camera (like a lot of fine things it demands you follow ITS rules, not the other way around) that takes a little bit of a learning curve - it can be maddening to learn how to use. But once you do, it is generally not an issue, and you wonder how you ever had any issues!

Nope. The "leader" in 120 roll film is paper, not film like with 35mm cassettes.

I do remember reading something about pulling the "paper" about 3-4 inches from the spool in the Hasselblad instructions for loading the film. I wondered if it was telling me to separate the paper from the film to load onto the takeup reel!

Aha, looking at some processed film now...the 35mm has a section that is black, before the usable frames start, and the 120 film starts right at frame #1. So when loading, you roll the 120 film to the arrow, then wind on until frame 1 is where the film actually starts.


So I guess the most likely explaination to the missing photos is film loaded wrong.
