Default Hasselblad 500 EL

Could someone please tell me if the 500 EL will fire with the lens and film back removed. Thank you.

Yes, but if the battery is flat and the motor doesn't move, then you won't be able to re-install the lens on the body. You see, the body will fire even with flat batteries (fully mechanical operation).

Am I right though that the body will only fire once if the batteries are flat or removed?
