Michael, I always point new SQ users to the link below for some of its little issues. Hope it helps now or later.

Is my 80mm 2.8 PS/B not supposed to have a "timer" setting on the lens for long exposures?

Nope, the B series had all the extras removed from the design to make it cheaper.

So, no long exposures, eh? I need the standard PS version?

You can do long exposures with the Bulb setting, you'll just be running the battery down a lot quicker. The T switch is there to prop the shutter open without the help of the timing electromagnets. Which the B series lacks.

My mistake, my SQa only goes to 8 seconds, no B. I've been playing with my 4x5 so much I'm forgetting the SQas limitations.

You have a B body and lens or an A body and a B lens?
I found that I rarely used the T switch on mine, too much fiddling to make it work. Also if you wanted the T switch it's not too hard to land an 80mm S lens for a decent price on Ebay. A PS, the newer series, is an even better choice.

A body, B lens. I think a PS may be in my future. Thanks for the info.
