I've probably made a bad purchase from tradera.se (the Swedish branch of eBay) and would appreciate your advice on how to rectify the mistake.
I won two auctions yesterday - for a Zeiss Flektogon 50/4 and a Sonnar 180/2.8, resepectively - and collected the lenses in peson today. However, when I got home I discovered that the aperture blades does not close on either of them. I don't know if they are stuck or missing totally. Otherwise they seem to be in good condition, and the 50/4 is multicoated. I paid about US$135 each for them.
As I really want to add a 50mm and 180mm to my medium format kit (now consisting of a Pentacon Six and a Zeiss 80mm) I am thinking of having them repaired. Do you have any place to recommend that would repair/replace the aperture blades? I am considering sending them to araxfoto.com in Ukraine, which seems to have a very good reputation. I am not sure if they deal with Zeiss lenses, however.
What would you do in the same situation?
