Gear acquisition syndrome was the first variation. It then morphed into whatever fit for each individual....

I regularly tune in to 'Hoarders' on A&E on Monday nights to convince myself that my GAS is nothing to worry about compared to the mess those folks have gotten themsleves into.

Of course last nght I did so while leafing through the dozon or more photogprahy books that I brought home a few days earlier from the used book sale that is a local symphony fund raiser at my neighbourhood mall. It happens one week end a year, and most books are $1, with some maybe as high as $3. We usally go every year and blow about $60-100, and then have a winter's worth of reading for days when you don't feel like getting over to the library.
    my real name, imagine that.

    Wirelessly posted (BBBold: BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.167 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

If I recall, house once diagnosed someone with Gadacsyplasia under the guise of Gadget Acquisition Syndrome. I could be mistaken. He also thought it was Wegner's, Lupus and Auto Immune. Never know with him.
    Thank you.

You do have G.A.S., but you have managed to keep it under control so well that you don't even know.

    So now tell us how.

'Gadget' has a frivolous connotation to it while 'Gear' is equipment you NEED. Now summon those justifications...
