    Black Frames from RZ67

I've had an RZ67 for about a month and up until now it's been the best-behaved camera I've used (tied with my f4). But I got a roll of slides back today and two are completely black, not underexposed, but black.

Has anyone experienced this? My best guess is I forgot to remove the dark slide (I do this ALL THE TIME) but the camera is supposed to warn me. Maybe I pressed some button wrong and it didn't? Any help would be appreciated; I lost at least one good shot and don't want to lose any more. My other slides were all normal. It's an old camera I bought used so anything's possible.

Just a guess but could your lens be set to "T"?
To find the answers .... Question them!

It's possible but unlikely. I'll watch carefully for that as I shoot this next roll, though. I hadn't considered that.

I tried taking a shot with the dark slide in and the shutter wouldn't fire, as normal. It's not the lens cap, obviously, since it's an slr. The battery light isn't on, but could it be the battery? The shutter speeds were short enough for these shots that the sound of the shutter firing would have been masked by the mirror slap...so I have no idea if it fired or not.

If it's like my RB67 the shutter will fire if the darkslide is out by just a little bit. That's why mine live in the bag and not in the film back unless I want to take it off mid roll (which I never do).
