    This link says: do not use lithium batteries. I just downloaded a manual for the RZ ProIID from the same site. It reads

    "The camera requires a 4SR44 silver oxide, 4LR44 alkaline manganese or 2CR1/3 lithium battery".

    Hmm - confused

    This is a guess.

    For the RZ67 and the RZ67 Pro II, the battery specifications in the manuals did not include lithium batteries. It may be that before the Pro IID, the website specifications recommended against them.

    With the Pro IID, lithium batteries are recommended in the manual (actually in two different places). It may be, however, that when the website specifications were changed to list the Pro IID instead, that part wasn't updated.

    I wonder if in the past decade or whatever Lithiums have improved, or become more consistent in the sizes used.
    I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
    When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.
