UR one lucky photographer! $100 for a F2AS plus 1.4 lens is a bargain!

I use two F2 and 2 Nikkormats regularly. I do not like to change lenses, so every camera has his own permanent lens. And it is good training to carry around these two heavy beasts.

'Does anyone still use their Nikon F2 regularly?'

Are you kidding me? What kind of question is that? More importanly the question is which F2...AS, SB, plain prism...decisions, decisions!

Sover Wong in the UK sent me a email that he has sent my Nikon F2 Photomic back from an overhaul. It was a rather extensive
job, but he sent me pictures of the mess and told me what he did.

So, I hope to have a real nice, useable Nikon F2 Photomic in my hands in a week or so.

Do you mind me asking the cost? I have two nice F2's but I think they could use an overhaul and maybe want to send one to Sover, thanks

With shipping, from the UK to Canada the cost was $400.00 US. It cost me about $40.00 to ship it to him.

But, my camera needed quite extensive work. It needed an overhaul of the body and light meter with
the addition of 2 new CDS cells. Your cameras may be in better shape than mine.

I'd never be able to sell the camera for what I paid, just for the overhaul, but then, I don't intend to sell it, I want to use it.

    I hope this helps.

When I get the camera back, and run a few rolls I'll have a better idea.
