    Cool video. He's a really nice guy. I attended a lecture and slide show of his a few years ago. Spoke to him afterwards. Very friendly. While waiting on line before the lecture I noticed him with some people up on a roof patio. I took this candid shot of him with my Rolleiflex. Timing was interesting.

    Great short. An interesting start with his photographic career, seeing an article about a gang war and deciding to go and immerse himself into it.

    I wonder what kinda Leica setup he has. Looks like lots of his shots are with a 28mm? M2?

    A great little video, thanks for posting the link.

    One thing it doesn't make clear, and especially as the images are mixed-n-matched, is that not all of those shown are 35mm. Some are made with a large format camera, particularly many of the East 100th Street posed portraits.
