Actually a pretty good camera, IMO. Most were sold with the 35-70 zoom, but there's a straight 50, 1.7 that's nice.

Just picked up a Walz Envoy 35 f1.9 circa 1959. From the pictures I've seen online so far, it has a pretty nice Sonnar-copy lens. Going to give it a quick clean and add it to the queue of cameras to shoot.

Kodak Retina 1a, and a brassy black Nikkormat FT with a Nikkor H 50/2 lens.

Nice camera! I don't see Walz cameras around much any more. I believe that Walz's parent company also made the Zenobaiflex - a TLR with the craziest name ever for a camera.

Kiev 4A, J-8m, both 1959, J-12 from 1961. The Kiev sounds exactly like my Contax II did.

    OM-2n

I'm in love with an Olympus OM-2n and 50/1.4. The viewfinder is like sitting in an IMax theater.

Took a while to get a lens and panel organised but it works with no light leaks, so now I need to clean it a bit inside...

One good thing about digital is that I can now afford cameras I never could before. My last purchases over a year ago now, were a Canon F1 and a Leicaflex SL. Nikon is my main 135 system, but these 2 are classic.

It's not a new camera I've had it for more than 20 years, but I collected one of my Canon New F1's from being serviced this week for the first time since I bought it, and it now looks and feels like a new one.
