    fixed an olympus XA that way -- dropped it once and the meter needle went kaflooey but the shutter still worked. Dropped it again months later, meter needle fixed!

    do not intend to try adjustments on my Leicas this way, however.

    I fixed a stuck shutter on a Ricoh Singlex TLS the same way.
