    freestyle discontinues negative sleeves

In the last couple pages (70-71) of their lastest cat. they say that Vue-All and PrintFile archival sleeves in all sizes are discontinued. Anyone know the story on this? Thanks, Chip

Don't know, but seems strange to me - as in either a mistake or something else. PF still sells them and I usually buy direct from PF as it is.

Yes, I just found out that PrintFile owns VueAll and VueAll is what's being discontinued. I had settled on VueAll though, because it had tiny perferations on the edges to let gases escape from the film(at least, that's what their ad said). I don't believe PrintFile has these.

I don't know about the gasses thing (realistically you shouldn't be having any gasses escaping, IMO), but here is what I use:

    http://www.printfile.com/foldflap-35mm-sleeve.aspx
    http://www.printfile.com/ult35-6bxw1...multihole.aspx

Foldflap sleeves that go into a page which takes said sleeves. Negs never slide against anything when filing or unfiling and are directly in contact with polyester not polypropylene (however the album pages are polypropylene).

Not sure if you can get these in the US (although our postage prices are very reasonable compared to US->AU shipping), I've always used albox archival sleeves if you need any alternatives (and the last few dev-labs around here also use them).
An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

Sorry to hear VueAll is disappearing. Pana-Vue is still around, BTW.
I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.
