    LEDs are apparently a lot cooler than incandescent bulbs. Sacrificing a slide would be worth the peace of mind you'd get from finding out there's no risk of melting or other heat related issues. http://www.cnet.com/news/five-things...ed-lightbulbs/

    Correct. I use Led sources all the time for work as they have the advantage of running off battery packs for long periods and are very compact. I wouldn't be projecting once in a lifetime slides here.
