    m42 lens cla?

Do any of y'all know where I can send an M42 (mamiya/sekor rather than a pentax SMC) lens for a CLA? It's a great 50mm f2, but the focus turn is getting very stiff in its old age.

    thanks!

I suggest you read a bit on another forum:o

    http://nelsonfoto.com/v/index.php

That's a good place to find a compulsive repairer of strange old lenses.

My focus turn on my 55mm F1.8 super takumar is getting looser.
    Why?

Mamiya M42 aren't strange. Older but not strange. Must be somebody local that can do a lube job.

They're not local to you, but they did a great job on one of my Zuiko zooms, and they're price is right too:

I should have thought of Carol or Walter's before even posting. I know both of them have great reputations for camera repair. Thanks for reminding me!

The Twin Cities lost its only real camera repair/tuning shop -- Custom Camera -- about a year ago and we're all still waiting for someone to fill the market void.
