    Does non ai lenses work with ttl flash on the Nikon F3

    Well the title of the thread says it all.
    So does it?

    Yes.

    The system quenches the flash when enough light has been emitted. This works irrespective of the lens used.

    Of course you have to perform ambient light reading at working aperture, if you so care.
