    How weatherproof is the F5?

Hey guys, just wondering how weatherproof the F5 is. Are all the buttons sealed with O rings? How about the dials to change the shutter speed or aperture? How about the film rewind knob?

I think you are ok for the odd drizzle but that's about it.

So no heavy downpours? I used to shoot in heavy rain with my pentax spotmatic which isn't sealed really.

In a truly heavy downpour i'd want something like a Nikonos. They are designed to be wet. Most cameras are not.
I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Yeah, but the nikon is supposed to be sealed against moderate to heavy weather, right?

Marko, I don't know how well the camera is sealed, but to be on the safe side you can wrap it in a plastic bag to be sure. Either get a bag big enough for the camera and your hands, or just big enough for the camera. Add a couple of rubber bands for the lens and eyepiece and instant waterproofing!
