So, a geared focusing helical -- plastic, I wonder? How long will that keep working properly? Oh right -- that isn't the point.

The point appears to be that these cameras are designed so that they never work properly. Broken before you use them (tm).

Interesting camera, but on the pricey side for what it is.

Can I get the same basic effect if I just shoot my Weltaflex TLR and stop using the focus knob?

I got that thing for a mere $14.

Here is Artpunk's flickr page with photos from the Blackbird Fly (the first eleven shots)

The camera has two masks, one to give a square frame, one to give a normal 35mm frame. Don't use either mask and you get the image across the sprocket holes.

Here is a video review: http://vimeo.com/1701318?pg=embed&sec=1701318

I really love the painterly colors and the framing of the vignette.
Afga Pro 200-N, I am not familiar with this film. Anything else that matches it? Kodak Gold perhaps?
    I really want one!

Could I sell my Weltaflex TLR on the bay for something ridiculous in the couple hundred dollar range if I replace the aging black leatherette with orange fake fur?

Great though for someone that bases his/her photography on Holgas and toy cameras as it looks to be the best of the bunch.
