The F1 New with the standard prism will allow for Aperture Priority exposure. However it will not show you what shutter speed is selected unless you have the ae prism. With the winder attached, you can get shutter priority.

nop, I am stock with your 1.2, just joking, I got some amazing pictures with that lens before the AE-1 started to break. The lines keep showing although not in all pictures? and more in the black and whites ones. I will give it a last try by changing the light seals and test one more b&w roll.
