m42 on Nikon F
I knew that every adapter I've seen says "Won't focus at infinity" but I was surprised to find infinity focusing at about 8 ft. Is there anyway to get longer focus using a m42 adapter?

some adapters have lenses in them and will permit focusing to infinity but I think quality suffers.

Quite truthfully, if you want to shoot M42 lenses, get an M42 body. They' re inexpensive and in the long run less of a hassle than paying an exorbitant price for a mediocre adapter that gives you a poor quality image.

I own a Nikon F/M42 lens adapter. The quality don't suffer too much, indeed, but this adapter don't work properly with all M42 lenses.
