    From Wales

Is this thing on?.... hello world.

I have been using film for the past few months almost all the time. I have been carrying my trip 35 everywhere. I am even considering getting rid of my dslr.

This morning I have got my first insults for using film. I am browsing the forum at the moment for encouragement. I have still had more insults for using an Olympus dslr but still the criticism of film really upset me this morning...... it doesnt make me want to give up film, but try harder at it!

Welcome to group therapy for film users! And welcome from another (ancestrally) Welshman! (my family comes from the Swansea area, a little town called Cwymllynfell, if I recall correctly). Not a thing in the world wrong with using film - I'm another one of those bi-camera-ual folks who shoot both, but given my choice, I'll choose film. I look at the reason as a matter of palette - I like the palette of film better. It's like the difference between oils and watercolors - each has their own subject matter and style, and just as I wouldn't choose watercolors if I wanted a textured impasto look to a painting, that doesn't mean that watercolors are inferior. Just different.

Welcome Kokoro, I'm not Welsh but one of my sons has lived in Cardiff for about eight years and I visit him often.
