I don't know about that those folks playing the "Name that Photographer" game on another thread are pretty scary. Through 15 pages I don't think I got one right. None the less I'm happy to be here.

Emery-villian? Pre or post Loma Pieta?
Emeryville almost over night went from a polluted backwater berg to a tech and bio-tech hub. Pixar is now headquartered there. Also note that the weather is a lot better in Emeryville than DC, but I think you don't need any reminder of that.

TFC: your handle reminded me of another East Bay photographer, Charles Benton, that takes remote aerials via a kite.

Vaughn, spent a week last winter in Trinidad (Ca.) and did some work in Centerville Beach. The North Coast is spectacular. Also home to some of my other favorites; Downtown Brown, Tom Waits, and Christopher Burkett.

Richmond: "the City of Pride and Purpose." Graham, I'm up here in the Hilltop (since '89).

Note, you had better get more of the historic Mare Island on silver before it's all gone, a large chunk of it has already been lost to new development.

Let's talk shop over a pint or two at the Hotel Mac.

    Christopher (formerly flash19901),
"Why I Admire Ansel Adams" is a great thread. I recently picked up the Camera, Negative, and Print, to get a B/W film, Zone, re-education. Some people may not think much of the Zone System, but it's a good starting point for me.

Adams' photos of Manzanar are especially meaningful to me.
