I am glad to have found this site (thank you Cheryl!) as I have no intention of going digital.

I'm Shannon, from Melbourne, Australia, and I'm just starting up my own business of b&w doco style children's portraiture. My Dad was an amateur photog, and I started learning on his Pentax K1000 that he took my baby pics with . I also have a Pentax Program A and a Canon Elan IIe.

I haven't been in the darkroom since Highschool, however as soon as I have the funds I'll be setting up my own darkroom and plan on doing all my own printing. I currently get any enlargements done by a wonderful handprinter in Melbourne.

It is lovely to meet you all!!

Welcome to the site! I still have my K1000 from my photo 1 class in highschool. Love that cam. Still use it from time to time.

So fun to see all the familiar names joining!

Aggie, I'm doing my part to even up the APUG gender gap -- if there really is one.
