I miss Kentucky. I recently moved to Miami from Mt. Sterling, though my wife and I are from Nicholasville. There aren't any galleries that show photographs. I've been trying for years. Your best chance is the Art Depository in Nicholasville. They show the work of the photo students in the University of Kentucky. The galleries in Lexington seem to only show the paintings of Arturo Sandoval.

If you pass through Louisville on your way down, stop and see the Paul Paletti Gallery at 720 East Market St. He has one of the finest collections in that part of the midwest.

I second the rec for Paul Paletti's gallery. He also hosts a gathering of local pros and amateurs on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm. I'm sure he'd approve of my extending his welcome.

Pyrogallol, I'm just east of Rose Island Rd, in Hillcrest on US 42 just inside the Oldham Co. line.

Default Where am I?

I am in sunny richmond kentucky. Finishing up my degree at EKU then I plan on getting another one in something... different.

I don't think there are any galleries in lexington. I may see if I can't get someone to post some photos, I know several artists around.....

thanks for the welcome!

Go during the Gallery Hop on the 1st Friday of every month. Buncha photo party animals, for sure. Well worth a drive from Richmond.
